Since January, HSBC has been operating under a new and simpler organizational structure designed to drive our success into the future. In Corporate and Institutional Banking ('CIB'), we are focused on becoming #1 in the market, becoming even more relevant to our clients by focusing on areas of strength and competitive advantage.
The job holder will have the responsibility to grow the Global Network Banking business in a highly competitive banking environment and ensure HSBC is positioned as the leading international bank for Corporates.
Principal Accountabilities
Manage the Global Network Banking ('GNB') business supporting international subsidiaries
Motivate and lead the GNB team/s, providing both strategic and day-to-day direction and guidance across all aspects. Lead the team to acquire and grow appropriate relationships and satisfy transactional and funding needs of international clients.
Create a clear succession and development plan process through identifying and developing talent
Maximize revenue and customer value at a portfolio and individual relationship level including seamless account opening and credit approval processes
Formulate and drive business and product strategies to acquire new-to-bank business, deepen wallet share and retain existing clients. Develop, implement and monitor the Region / Country management plan, communicating it effectively to all employees with clear expectations and objectives
Responsible for driving a client-centric culture within the organization through regular client engagement and dealing with complaints and issues as required
Assist clients in drawing on the HSBC group network by working closely with other CIB countries and product groups including GTS, GPS and MSS
Ensuring HSBC delivers customer experience and appropriate products and services which understand, meet and exceed customer needs as well as deliver fair outcomes.
Ensure healthy growth of client base through proactive client engagement and connectivity with the corporate network and achieve the Group's strategy of growing revenues and returns through needs-based sales
Ensure that the quality of the lending book meets group's standards, safeguard the Bank from potential loss, maintain group credit standards, uphold portfolio quality, maintain high level of compliance, and minimize operational and credit banking risks
Responsible for shaping and leading cross line of business collaboration, cross-selling of Group capabilities to ensure that Banking customers can avail themselves of all appropriate services.
Actively engaging in external events, activities and forums that provide opportunity to build HSBC's brand among the target customer group
Understand current economic trends and their impact on HSBC in the country; identify key levers to capitalize on opportunities and/or minimize downside exposure
Contribute to the long-term strategic vision and international direction for CIB and identify the key steps necessary for Region / Country alignment and support in achievement of the country, regional and global strategy.
Enhance the Bank's image in the marketplace and build key relationships with third parties such as investment development boards and Chambers of Commerce
Set the tone and agenda on Global Standards and all elements of Risk and Compliance as applicable to the role
Working closely with marketing to devise and implement strategies to enhance brand awareness and equity in the Region / Country

Yêu cầu công việc

At least 15 years of banking experience with minimum 5 years dealing with international / corporate clients.
Strong banking experience in a senior role with exposure to corporate lending, credit structures, risk assessment, cash and payment solutions and trade finance. Banking Experience in/across other geographies is a plus.
Proven leadership skills to provide senior oversight of subordinates and manage multiple teams across different locations / divisions.
A passionate client advocate with deep understanding of corporate and institutional client needs, with a demonstrable track record in delivering customer excellence on a global basis for CIB category clients.
Good level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues.
Strong credit assessment skills, particularly with regards to more complex and structured facilities.
Ability to implement strategies, originate business and deliver effective client solutions across investment banking, financing, Markets and flow products.
Ability to interact and build trust and credibility with relationships at all levels of seniority including internal and external stakeholders, 'C suite', owner/proprietor client representatives, regulators and government bodies. Ability to influence without direct control
Proven strategic thinker with a track record in developing and implementing market leading strategies
Cross cultural sensitivity and a dynamic personality to engage with multicultural stakeholders
Capacity to think about the wider HSBC Group business - to take a Global view
