Job Descriptions:
Edge Client Development & Adaptation:
Edge Client Development & Adaptation:
- Design, implement, and adapt edge applications in C++ for resource-constrained environments (e.g., Raspberry Pi, ARM-based devices). Ensure reliable operation under intermittent connectivity and oƯline scenarios.
Containerized Edge Deployment:
- Package and deploy edge applications using container technologies (Docker/containerd), including configuration of volumes, certificates, and runtime parameters. Ensure reproducible deployments across heterogeneous devices.
Embedded Linux Integration:
- Configure, extend, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems (e.g., Debian/Raspberry Pi OS).
- Handle system-level aspects such as services (systemd), filesystem layout, permissions, and network configuration.
Reliability & Diagnostics:
- Implement robust runtime behavior and diagnosis capabilities. Ensure the edge client can recover from failures and provide suƯicient logging for remote root cause analysis.
System-Level Troubleshooting:
- Analyze and resolve issues across application, container, and OS layers (e.g., file access, device-specific behavior, runtime inconsistencies, connectivity issues to cloud services such as Azure IoT Hub).
OTA & Update Mechanisms:
- Support and integration of over-the-air update workflows for edge devices, ensuring safe and reliable software rollout.
Job Requirements:
- Fluent in English C1 or at least B2
- C++ & Embedded Development: Strong experience in modern C++ for embedded or edge environments. Familiar with cross-compilation and ARM-based platforms.
- Linux Expertise: Good understanding of Linux systems (Debian or similar), including system services, permissions, networking, and debugging on device level.
- Container Technologies: Practical experience with Docker or containerd for deploying applications in constrained environments. Understanding of image handling, volumes, and runtime behavior.
- ARM / Edge Hardware: Hands-on experience with ARM-based devices (e.g., Raspberry Pi or comparable platforms) and dealing with hardware-specific issues.
- Networking & IoT Connectivity: Basic understanding of secure communication (TLS/x509) and cloud connectivity (e.g., Azure IoT Hub).
- Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to debug complex issues crossing multiple (application, container, OS, device).
