JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are building a skilled team of individuals with positive and dynamic mindsets. As an enthusiastic and eager learner, the Editorial Design Intern will support the team in various design tasks, with a strong focus on editorial layout and visual elements. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a leading international publication.
Key Responsibilities:
Editorial Design Assistance:
Develop a strong understanding of editorial design principles, including layout, typography, graphic elements, and brand applications.
Learn the process and execute infographic and chart design. Drive the infographic and chart design of daily digital articles, as well as assist in chart design for print
Assist in adapting, maintaining, and improving our current editorial design processes.
Gain practical experience in executing layout designs under the guidance of senior designers.
Learn to apply typography effectively to enhance readability and visual hierarchy.
Contribute to the creation of graphic elements that support editorial content.
Assist in ensuring all designs align with the Bloomberg Businessweek Vietnam brand guidelines.
Gain exposure to the final artwork preparation process and learn about print specifications.
Collaborate with the Print Supervisor to understand the transition from design to print production.
Develop an understanding of art direction concepts and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
Cross-Disciplinary Design Exposure:
Support design needs from the Digital, Commercial (Marketing and Event) teams as required, balancing editorial tasks.
Develop an understanding of our 360 design system through supporting these tasks.
Learn about design thinking principles for both print and digital platforms.
Develop ownership of assigned tasks and contribute proactively.
Assist in conducting research to inform design decisions.
Undertake other responsibilities as required by the Managing Editor.

Work on-site at the office at least 32 hours per week.
Support the editorial team in layout design for both print and digital publications.
Assist in creating visual assets for articles, reports, and multimedia content.
Collaborate closely with the creative team to ensure design consistency and high-quality outputs.
Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop (or similar design tools) is preferred.
Detail-oriented, responsible, and eager to learn in a professional publishing environment.
